Bring a Friend and Come Bottle with us

April 29, 2016

Most people wouldn't choose to work on their birthday, but what if you were bottling Gin with 10 of your closest friends? In the beginning of April, Spirit Works hosted a private party celebrating a 60th birthday while bottling our 24th batch of Gin! Our beautifully balanced Gin with corriander, cardomon, orris root, angelica, juniper, hibiscus, and fresh hand-zested oranges and lemons, delivers a delicate yet complex flavor. Our Gin lends itself perfectly to sipping in a martini as well as mixed in a variety of cocktails. One of our favorites for the warmer months is the Farmer Collins!

  • 2.0 oz. SWD Gin
  • 1.0 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • .5 oz. simple syrup
  • soda water

Combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup into cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain into highball or Collins glass filled with fresh ice, and top with soda water. Garnish with your favorite fresh herb. (We love rosemary, sage, or mint.)

If you want to become a member of the Spirit Works Team and help us bottle, please e-mail us and we will pay you $10/hr for your time spent with us! Bottlings are normally on Sundays and take anywhere from 1-4 hours depending on what spirit we are bottling. Hang out with us in our beautiful production space as we take the final step in our grain to glass process and finish up with a complimentary tasting.
