A classic in the southern United States, the Sazerac combines whiskey, bitters, and just a bit of absinthe for a delightfully rounded drink.
2 oz Spirit Works Rye Whiskey
4 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters
1 Dash Aromatic Bitters
1 Bar-spoon Rich Simple Syrup
Absinthe (to rinse glass)
Combine all ingredients except absinthe in a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 20 seconds, then strain into an absinthe rinsed rocks glass.
Express lemon peel over the top of the drink and use as garnish.
